Coastal Business Technologies, LLC is a Connecticut-based IT & Business Consulting provider that was founded in 2012 and located in Danbury, CT minutes from I-84. Our focus is on helping business small, medium or large in achieving their technical goals as well as introducing technology to make day-to-day business operations and processes smoother (how many times do you hear someone say: I signed that form and walked it down to the next person; technology can help here!).
We also offer Election Services through our product: Voter CheckList, which currently serves over 25 municipalities in Connecticut and growing. Voter CheckList helps municpalities manage their elections and provides real-time, secure, Voting Information. We are a dedicated, passionate business and we each have over 20 years’ experience in software development, project management and people management. Your goals are our goals.
Our History
In 2012 we started our company primarily focusing on our Election Services offering, Voter CheckList, which is an Electronic Pollbook. So, you ask, what is an Electronic Pollbook? An Electronic Pollbook represents a digital Voter List instead of your traditional paper voter list that is used to verify voters arriving at a Voting/Polling Location during an Election. Our product has gone through many enhancements and we also keep up with changing Voting Laws in CT.
Voter CheckList is very successful, with 25+ out of 169 Connecticut Municipalities using it and a renewal rate of over 90% each year. One of our proudest moments for Voter CheckList was in the Spring of 2014, with only 9 towns subscribing we submitted a bid response for an RFP that the Town of Greenwich, CT had put out. Our product/company won the bid and the important deciding factors were: product stability, local in-state support and cost.

Todd Reisel – Founder / President
Technology has always been a passion of mine. It's incredible how a small circuit board and great software has revolutionized the world in such a short amount of time.
I had a full-time job while attending Western Connecticut State University which taught me how to manage my time, produce quality work and practice important collaboration; the three essential ingredients to running a business!
Through college I was actively involved in a group that proved to be very important to me; The Computer Society. Even before graduation, I was offered a software engineering position at a well known K-12 education print and technology company. Here I built the best tooling and web-based products in my 17-year corporate career.
It was this experience that drives Coastal Business Technologies today and inspired me to become an entrepreneur, starting a full-time business of my own. CBT has deep industry experience which has propelled us to provide you with innovative products and quality services. We pride ourselves having an eye on the future, to be keenly aware of how technology is changing around us every day. It's this passion for technology that drives our company, our employees and our clients to succeed.

Christine Reisel – Co-Founder
I am heavily involved in Voter CheckList, the unique election software we offer. Voting has always been a right that I exercise. When I moved into our new town, on the first weekend, we registered to vote. After checking the box I found myself taking a moderator training class. Now, I continue to serve as a moderator and a Deputy Registrar!
I assist in training Registrars and their election poll workers to use Voter CheckList. My experience as both a moderator and a deputy have contributed to a vast knowledge of polling regulations. This allows me to connect with you, our customers.
When I am not answering calls or training, I am working as a project coordinator for a technology company. I have my Masters in Project Management and thoroughly enjoy workin as a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
In my free time, I do enjoy to run and have participated in many 5K races and did my first half marathon last fall! I share my goal with many others, to run a race in each of the 169 towns in CT (169 Group)!
